Roshan Dharmasena
Founder/Managing Director
Roshan is a seasoned renewable energy professional with over 21 years of experience in power generation, spanning engineering, project delivery, and operations across Australia and international markets.
Before founding Photon Renewable Services (PRS), Roshan served as Head of Operations & Maintenance at Gentari Australia, where he built and led the O&M division managing a 750 MW solar and 25 MW/50 MWh battery portfolio—positioning the company among Australia’s largest O&M providers. Earlier, at RCR Tomlinson, he established its solar O&M division, expanding it to 950 MW by 2018 and launching a state-of-the-art Remote Operating Centre.
A Chartered Engineer, Chartered Governance Professional, and certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Roshan holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management. A Fellow of both Engineers Australia and the Governance Institute of Australia, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise, governance acumen, and strategic leadership to the renewable energy sector.
Bruno Ramon
Manager- Engineering & Asset Operations
Bruno is an accomplished Electrical Engineer and Physicist with deep expertise in managing and optimising utility-scale renewable energy assets. His experience spans over 2 GW of solar, wind, and battery facilities across Australia.
Before joining PRS, Bruno served as Asset Manager at RES, overseeing 286 MW of solar projects and driving safety, compliance, and performance outcomes. At Worley, he delivered 24/7 SCADA-based monitoring and operational support for 890 MW of wind assets and critical gas infrastructure. At Recurrent Energy and Wirsol, he managed the O&M of assets totalling close to 1.3 GW, covering both solar and battery facilities.
Bruno’s strong technical background, combined with hands-on experience in proactive maintenance planning, root-cause analysis, and stakeholder engagement, ensures PRS clients benefit from industry-leading reliability, safety, and performance standards.
Thomas Billings
Manager- Field Services
Thomas Billings is a highly qualified A-Grade Electrician with over 20 years of experience across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale renewable energy sectors. Licensed across multiple Australian states, Thomas holds High Voltage (HV) and Refrigeration qualifications and brings extensive expertise in the installation, testing, and maintenance of complex electrical systems and infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Thomas has worked on and supervised numerous solar farm projects through both construction and operational phases, ensuring compliance with stringent Australian standards, safety protocols, and client specifications. His experience spans from commissioning HV substations and inverter stations to conducting detailed fault diagnosis, protection testing, and preventive maintenance on grid-connected assets.
Renowned for his hands-on technical capability and commitment to safety and reliability, Thomas plays a key role in ensuring PRS delivers high-quality, compliant, and efficient O&M services. His deep practical knowledge and leadership on site underpin PRS’s mission to maintain the highest standards of electrical safety, asset performance, and client satisfaction.
Dhammika Kanumale
Director- Hydropower & International Projects
Dhammika is a seasoned renewable energy professional with over 20 years of experience in the development, operation, and management of hydropower assets across international markets. He has successfully delivered multi-megawatt hydropower projects from concept through to commissioning and long-term operation, overseeing portfolios exceeding 50 MW across Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Burundi.
Throughout his career, Dhammika has demonstrated strong capability in project development, EPC contract management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement, working effectively with government agencies, financiers, and local communities. His leadership in crisis management, technical optimisation, and sustainable operations has earned him recognition for delivering projects that meet both commercial and environmental performance objectives.
